Nid advice on wheels upgrade for my trek portland 2010
Hi,
I own a trek portland 2010. Was thinking to upgrade my wheel set to something lighter than my stock SSR wheelset by bontrager as I'm beginning to use it for local sportive rides but had no idea which manufacturers produce similar wheels (Read up that disc brake wheels have different hub than from normal cantilever wheels). Most wheels on the market are all made for cantilever brakes. My considerations are that I would like to retain my shimano R505 Disc brake as I prefer the braking confidence that it gave me and lastly would want to upgrade my current 9speed drive train to 10spd full 105 grpset. My wheelset is 700x 28c currently.
Does anyone has any recommendations on compatible wheel set?
Are the new cyclo cross disc brake wheels from shimano backwards compatible with my bike?
