Rival websites...

Just been dossing around on Twitter and saw I was still following Roadcyclinguk.com. I was delighted to change my allegiance to this place about a year ago but I was interested to see that RCUK has had a facelift...

... what's the sincerest form of flattery called again 39

Anyone else flirt with other sites on here?

Podium Cafe is the only other place I check now. Bike Radar and Cyclingnews are dead to me.

If you're new please join in and if you have questions pop them below and the forum regulars will answer as best we can.

For print media I subscribe to the weekly comic, which is nice to flick through over breakfast. Web wise this site is my favourite. The design and UK oriented cycling news / current affairs / culture wins it for me.

Pretty much this is it. I did register for Cyclechat but tbh I don't like the cliquiness of it. Will lurk now and again 37

Isn't this thread a bit early for Tony's Christmas present?

Agree with RCUK, it went a bit awry when they tried to diversify into magazines...

And it stopped working on my work pc which meant I couldn't post at lunchtimes...

Cycling News was great until they felt the need to change it, no longer one of my first ports of call of a morning.

Bike Radar is just awful like mbuk for everyone.

Cyclechat had a great little vibe going for a while but is rather lame in my opinion these days.

Never really got into RCUK.

Visit Cycling Meakly occasionally other than that.

Road CC ticks the boxes for me, the only thing I would like to see is a little more activity in the Forum.

This site is perfect to me - I don't like having to trawl through massive amounts of content for different disciplines. I think what I like best about here is just enough racing news for me, enough gear reviews (I'm a gear whore like many others) and enough news/current affairs which is not obsessed racing/gear so crosses into my work life (transport planning!).
I tend to use cycling websites for their forums (or rather the people that use them) so only ever use a local fixed gear forum and YACF to keep tabs on audaxes etc. - this site tends to cover any other needs seeing as I no longer need to read the advice of a bunch of ill-informed cretins via the likes of bikeradar.

+1 I arrived at BR From the Procycling magazine forum which was just getting going. There was the big split with Cycle Chat starting with all those people who knew each other from the "Cake Stop"... all a bit messy, but I stuck with it for a year to get my 1000 posts (sad I know!)

I sometimes lurk on the Bike Radar commuting forum - helps me reminisce fondly about the old days when I commuted from Greenwich into Central London.

Nowadays, a bike commute would take me all of 12 feet from the shed into the living room - I might have to try it one day, although god knows, that would upset the dog, let alone the missus.

Bikeradar and purely for the fun of septic-baiting Bike Forums/Road cycling - you can win all arguments on there simply if you can spell and have the vaguest idea of grammar.
