Octopus Caps Winter cap
Coming from a small factory in Columbus, Ohio is this handmade, woollen cycling cap designed to decorate your head whilst keeping it warm at the same time. They are used to cold winters in Columbus and this winter bonnet has a slightly different cut to your normal cycling cap, covering a bit more of your head, the hat pulls down that bit further keeping it nice and snug and with the soft wool rear flap down over your ears you should be able to brave some pretty cold weather before your ears fall off.
fifocycle Pegasus cycling hat
It is freezing out there, anything poking out is likely to get frost bite and fall off. Fact. Luckily for me I've been testing this fifocycle Pegasus cycling hat.
Usually in really cold weather my ears get particularly cold when I'm riding and glow bright red when I get back indoors and into the warm then they feel itchy and like they don't belong to me. I haven't hat that problem this time because the Pegasus has flaps (or possibly wings), like an old fashion 'Biggles' hat, that will cover over your lug holes and keep the nasty nip from attacking your noggin.
Sugoi RS cap
This Sugoi RS cycling cap looks to be the answer for the stylish amongst us that want all the benefits of a cycling cap but don't want (or aren't being paid) to advertise laminate flooring or liquified gas products via some garish sponsor's logo. The only logo that does appear is the Sugoi one, subtly branded on the peak, forehead and left-hand side, in Scotchlite for dainty safety points. The white band detailing provides an air of sophistication, and a small amount of on-road visibility.
Respro Techno anti pollution mask
Designed for the heavily polluted urban Jungle, Respro’s techno mask might enjoy the most advanced filters but it needs better wicking to prevent sweaty cheeks on warmer days. While the neoprene feels very tactile against the skin, it rapidly becomes clammy (typically after twenty minutes exertion). Whilst this additional warmth is welcome on cold winter days it’s a different story come Spring or Summer.
Walz Wool/cotton race cap
Hand-made in the USA from a cotton/wool mix and with a fit to die for, the Walz oozes retro cool with a fair degree of comfort and practicality. Constructed in three sections, it’s supple enough to stuff in a jersey pocket without looking haggard upon retrieval and the shapely peak can be worn up (fakenger style) or down (60s continental pro style), shielding the eyes from early season sun and showers alike.
