Garmin Edge

I've had this Garmin GPS for a while and when going 30km/h (ish) the GPS tends to show values between 35-40km/h. The GPS also indicates movement when stationary. Could the device be faulty or is this kind of behaviour to be considered as normal.

I recently bought a 2nd hand Garmin Edge 305 and it didn't come with a software disc so I have been to Garmin's website to download software for uploading my routes. There are 7 different versions (excluding the 2 Mac versions) with little to explain what is what.

Could anybody that knows please point me to the correct download for me?
I'm using windows 7, a Garmin Edge 305 with heart rate monitor and I'm a statistics junkie so I'm looking for the most in-depth option please!

It's a super-simple GPS unit that has a fairly basic data set but makes keeping track of your mileage totals a piece of cake. It's not perfect - the limited display options will put some people off - but the simplicity and swappability between bikes will ensure its popularity.

Bryton are a new player in the GPS market and their Ryder 50 is a colour unit with full UK mapping built in. It's a bit rough round the edges in terms of the software side, and feels a bit like a work in progress at times, but performance is generally good and the unit itself is solidly built and fairly easy to use.
