Whyte's Sport Saddle offers nothing particularly exotic about construction or materials used but it's been music to this tester's derriere, if you catch my drift.

The cover is a sturdy weather resistant affair available in black, white or brown. Manufacturers sometimes cut corners where they cannot be seen but I was pleased to discover it neatly bonded and stapled to the base.

Hello guys - Selling off two of my lovely bikes to fund a new 29er, regretfully these are the 2 that get the least use so have to go to a new home.

First up, my most impulsive purchase to date! A Kinesis Crosslight 5T with Carbon fork, size 54cm:

I can honestly say that it has literally been ridden once since it was bought two months ago due to my interest in road bikes (sorry!). I had great plans to use it a lot over the winter and commute with it etc but it's got to go for the reasons above.

Whyte have been pushing their relaxed geometry across their whole range of bikes for a while now; it works well on trail bikes and it works on their flat bar urban bikes such as the Montpellier too. However, I'm not so sure about the crossers. The slightly languid handling is exacerbated here in the Whyte Kings Cross by the equipment choices, making the whole package feel a bit ordinary. For this kind of money, there are better bikes out there.
