Wheels -Campag Freehubs/Cassettes

Am I correct in assuming that a Campag 11 speed cassette is the same size (width) as the 10 speed.

The reason for asking is that I've got two bikes, one with Campag 11 speed and one with 10 speed. After being driven to distraction trying to get a spoke replaced on a Fulcrum 3 wheel (concealed spoke fixings and magnets...) I want to buy a spare rear wheel that will work on both bikes i.e swap cassettes over.

Wheels, wheels, wheels

Hello everyone, sorry to ask 'one of those' questions but I need advice on a new wheelset.

The stock wheels that came with the bike have about had it and so i thought that with the summer round the corner I'll save up for 2-3 months for a new set. (i'm a student, yes, it will take that long to save).

I've set myself a budget of £300 ish, I know campy and Mavic offer some for about 320 so i could be swayed. They need to be hard wearing as the roads around me aren't exactly svelte.

At the minute the Fulcrum Racing 5s are most appealing but it looks to be a bit of a minefield.

WTD - Pair of 700c wheels - 5 speed - cheap

I'm looking for a pair 700c wheels, with or without tyres/tubes. I'm doing Nightrider in June and my current wheels are tubulars and not suitable.
Also, current rear hub is only 5 speed so rear hub needs to be 5 or 6 speed at max, yeah I know, picky.
So, if you've got anything lurking in the back of your shed in fair, true, condition please let me know. I'm in Guildford and could collect if local.
Thanks
John

Gipiemme Paia Ruote Carbon H6.0

Price:
£1175.00

The Gipiemme Carbon H6.0 tubular wheels are a good aero option suitable for most conditions, and they come in at a reasonable price for this kind of wheel.

Gipiemme make these wheels in Italy using 100% carbon fibre monocoque rims that are 60mm deep and 20mm wide. The hubs are Gipiemme's own GPMClights, made from forged aluminium, and they spin on sealed bearings – although you can get DT Swiss 240 hubs for £100-£150 more. When I say Gipiemme make these wheels in Italy, they make both the hubs and the rims in their own factory.

Switching to Race Wheels and back again

So.

Switching from AL wheels to a set of Carbon tubs (with carbon braking surface) before a race.

What problems would I encounter with the braking ie. Shards of aluminium scratching up my CF.

Is it necessary to change brake pads at the same time?

If I want CF specific pads, will they wear super quickly with my training wheels?
