Vitus Vitesse
Vitus bikes have been part of Chain Reaction Cycles for the last few years and the range now carries four different models with varying kit levels on each. We were impressed with how the Dark Plasma rode, especially the frame when we tested it a couple of years back and on quick inspection the spec sheet for the Vitus Vitesse here doesn't look too shabby either.
Vitus Vee-1
Ask a bikey person how much you need to spend to get a decent steed and chances are they'll tell you that £300 is the baseline... you can drop that by 40 quid now, because the Vitus Vee-1 easily qualifies. It won't suit everyone but I loved it: it's genuinely capable of urban and off-road duties and it's an absolute hoot to ride.
Vitus Dark Plasma
'We present the Dark Plasma. Carbon fibre frame. Quality components. Top performance. Affordable price.' say Vitus on their website, well it's only polite that roadcc takes a look to give a second opinion.
Vitus makes a return to the UK market via Chain Reaction Cycles with a road range of 6 of which the Dark Plasma is the start of the carbon framed bikes. Aimed at the recreational / club racer the Dark Plasma is marketed at a very busy price point up against some very good competition.
