Uvex XP City
Oozing stereotypically Germanic refinement, the Uvex XP City helmet feels much closer to a road specific model than its urban tag suggests.
Sixteen vents, CE accreditation, peaks, bug netting and integral LEDs add up to an absolutely flawless finish - an example of in mould construction at its very best. I was particularly taken with our sample's grey livery that looked great with everything, but coupled with some equally subtle reflectives, comes alive under street and vehicle lighting.

UVEX FP3.0 Road Helmet
Uvex Gravity Zero glasses
Uvex Gravity Zero sunglasses aren’t simply posh shades for posing in, they’re precision eyewear bristling with mind-boggling technology. Sure there’s an element of clever marketing at play here but nonetheless, it all translates to a superlative pair of glasses and one, in my view, sounding the death knell for triple lens types. They not only deliver a crystal clear view in all conditions but adjust automatically with the light so you can concentrate on enjoying the ride.
Uvex FP1 helmet
The FP1 is the top of the Uvex range of helmets, aimed at the road-racing market, and is also ideal for sportive riders. Trim and cool, it’s a nice piece of kit.
Picking up the FP1, it just feels good. That’s no way to judge a helmet, but it’s an OK start. Maybe I’m seduced by the Made in Germany sticker. Naturally, it meets all the European safety standards.
