Argon 18 Gallium Road seat tube detail
Another elegant seat clamp plus which combines with the paint job to give the effect of an integrated seat post while actually being one of the standard variety
Argon 18 Fast Forward FR9 90mm deep section wheel
Argon 18 Fast Forward 90mm deep section wheel – debuting at the show and now on it's way to the UK too
Argon 18 E114 seat tube section
Argon 18 E114 seat tube section: with all the interesting things going on at the front of the E114 it was this bit of the bike that caused the man from the UCI to get his tape measure out and start tutting apparently. Argon 18 were more polite about it than one other high end bike manufacturer we spoke to who told us that if the UCI's technical expert showed up on his stand he would throw him off
Argon 18 E114 integrated fork
Argon 18 E114 integrated fork - Argon 18 aren't the only manufacturer to take this approach, but they do do it very well. essentially the fork both passes through the headset conventionally and wraps around it the two bits clamping together to crate a very strong, stiff and something that looks very like a fairing around the front of the bike… although no doubt that's just a happy coincidence m'lud
Argon 18 E114 integrated fork 2
We really love what companies like Argon 18 are doing in terms of driving on the developement of aerodynamically efficient bikes, but we still can't help feeling that they must in some way infringe the UCI's daft rules on bike construction
Argon 18 E114 front triangle
Argon 18 E114 front triangle: cables are fully integrated through the top tube and interestingly Argon 18 are mounting the front brake inboard of the front fork - Giant have also taken this route, while Cervelo now maintain that it has no aero advantage…
