Ceepo Katana Tri bike

Ceepo Katana Tri bike - one down from the Viper and marginally more conventional looking, marginally

Carrera Redwing

Lugged steel retro road bike, if you're an Italian manufacturer you've got to have one, and the Redwing is Carrera's

Carrera Redwing seat lug

Polished seat lug on the very smartly finished Redwing

Carrera Phibra seat tube

Aero-road touch on the seat post with the seat tube curving slightly around the wheel to minimise the gap - not sure what the solid section seat stay does for aero performance though

Carrera Phibra

Integrated seat mast? Check. Dramatically curving top tube? Check. Lots of carbon? Check. Yes, it's an Italian bike all right

Carrera Phibra rear view 2

From the back you get an idea of just how smoothly the top tube transitions into the seat stays - the curve reminds us a bit of the original Specialized Tarmac prototype, that though was a twin tube affair and to comply with UCI regs Specialized had to wrap the twin tubes in a carbon layer to make them look like one… or so I'm told

Carrera Phibra back view

More dramatic curviness from the back of the Phibra we're guessing the seat tube is passed through the one pice top tube/seat stay section during construction and then bonded in to the bottom bracket and the stays it must be very precise work and it's certainly very well finished.

Carrera Phibra downtube

Phibra fron the front still flaunting its curves and its internal cable routing - what more could you want from a top end road bike?
