Wheel set upgrade help!
I purchased a cube sl cross race 2011 flat bar road bike last year and generally the spec was pretty good for the cost of the bike.
I am debating whether to upgrade the wheels but don't know enough about the subject to make a decision! The wheel set currently comprises of:-
Rims: Alex EN24 V-Brake
Front Hub: Shimano Ultegra HB-6700
Rear Hub: Shimano Ultegra FH-6700
Spokes: DT Swiss Competition 2.0-1.8-2.0 black
Upgrading a "cheap" bike
Hello,
My question is about upgrading a road bike. I intend to buy a fairly old road bike (gt force with that different frame shape around seat tube). Here's the deal, it is quite cheap and it comes with shimano 105 groupset (which I believe is good bargain for the price). Is that simple to upgrade the frame? You go buy a frame transfer all other components and that's it?
I hope I didn't make a mess out of it.
Thank you for any help.
Cheers.

Upgrading Chainset & Front Mech
Hello,
I'm thinking about gradually upgrading my current transmission..
Currently on a Giant SCR 3 (2007) with Tiagra Rear Mec, Sora triple front and a generic crankset...
I'd like to upgrade to 105, probably starting with the chainset and front mech. Are there any compatability issues I should be aware of? And will I need to change the bottom bracket too?
Grateful for any advice....
Ceramic Bearings - worth the money?
I'm considering upgrading my bearings to ceramic. I'm running Bontrager wheels and drive train - riding for pleasure (not racing) around 300km a week. At GBP170 for SKF hub bearings alone, and more again for the BB, I'm wondering if at the end of a four hour ride I'll truly appreciate the difference. Any advice?
Carbon seat post upgrade - make any difference?
Probably been asked a few times. Apart from I guess a small weight saving which is really not too much of an issue for me. Does anyone think you would gain any noticeable improvement on comfort by replacing an alloy seat post with a carbon one?
