Recovery Time
Morning folks,
A few of us in the club are planning an assault on next year's TdF Yorkshire stages, to be ridden on 6th/7th April this year. It's about 120 miles for each day, plus a 20 mile transfer between Harrogate and York (no coach transfer for us!).
Clearly, we'll be riding this a bit slower than the average Sunday ride to ensure we get round.
I've stepped up my riding to four times a week (about 10 hours), plus 1 or 2 gym sessions. I've also cut out the sugary treats and have dropped from 75kg to 71kg over about 4 months.
Im about to buy a cheap turbo....
Im about to purchase a nice cheap turbo. I cant afford Tacx or any other brand but am keen on the B'win in ride. Especially as the brand seems to be getting a good rep.
Does anyone have any experiance of this or any other unbranded turbos? Amazon for instance seems to have a few for around £60 which im tempted but unsure!
Atrial Fibrillation
Hi
I've just been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and am waiting treatment. Anyone else suffer from this and how has it affected your riding if at all.
Thanks
Andrew
Roto Training Rollers - any good?
As above really -
has anyone tried this brand of rollers?
Roto Training Rollers, on sale on SportPursuit, first rollers I've seen for less than £100.
Turbo is eating my tyres
With all this snow I have been mostly riding a turbo in my garage. After each ride I have a pile of rubber particles (about 1mm in size) on the floor behind the bike. It's a TACX magnetic trainer (usual friction drive setup) - is this a sign of too much/too little tension, tyre pressure, worn turbo or just one of those things that happens with a turbo?
