Just a quick post to see if anyone is riding the Stoke on Trent Challenge Tour Ride as their first sportive - I am.
Weather forecast not looking great but I will not be deterred!
I'm thinking about riding from home (Bristol) to watch the Tour of Britain stage finishing in Caephilly. Is there a decent climb near the finish that would make a decent spectator spot?
Or should I get the train to Cardiff and ride up to the top of the Brecons for the cat 1 climb?
With the announcements of the big teams including guys like Thor, Voight, Klemme, Boom, Bos, Millar etc. what chance do the British teams have of even a stage win this year? I'd love to see Rapha finding out some hard lessons (no reason- I'm sure they're lovely) But what about Endura? It would be great to see them do well no? Are the local boys anywhere near challenging for this level of race? Thoughts welcome.
