Fortunately grip returned as the rest of the road was dry, however this lead me to think how do you climb when the road is wet?

Is there a particular technique, is it about equipment, should I just avoid steep hills when wet?

Articles on technique

I see a lot of articles about nutrition, lactic thresholds, VO2 max, intervals training and the like, and this is all helpful.

However, I see very little discussing actual pedalling technique.

Somthing I noticed when riding yesterday

When doing the Highclere ride yesterday I found that I was scrunching up my toes when pedalling...I would actively think about stretching my feet out but then 5 minutes later Id be doing the scrunched up thing again. It was very wierd, my shoes fit fine but Im wondering if my cleat position could be out.

Any thoughts?
