Storck Windbreaker Jacket
The Storck Windbreaker Jacket is a very high quality windproof jacket that is surprisingly breathable and keeps a good amount of rain out when you get caught short.
I'd argue that all road cyclists need a good lightweight windproof shell that can easily be stowed away, and this is the time of year when such a jacket comes into its own. The temperature, hell the weather, is all over the place at the moment and knowing what to wear can be a nightmare. Even for more experienced cyclists.
Storck Bib Tight Winter - Pro
These Storck Bib Tight Winters come with windproof and water resistant panels and several other neat features, although they're certainly an expensive option.
So, those windproof/water resistant panels are the ones that go over your knees and your quads – the most exposed areas. They're fleece backed and stretchy so they're perfectly comfortable as you pedal. Most of the rest of the lowers are made from a fabric called Notorious which has a fleecy, ribbed inner surface that holds a lot of warm air around your legs.
Storck Long Sleeve Jersey - Pro
The new Storck Long Sleeve Jersey Pro is a really high-quality top with a luxurious feel – although the price will deter many.
Clearly, £149 is a lot of money for a cycling jersey. We know that – we've not lost all sense of proportion just yet. But this is a very good jersey.
The Pro is mostly polyamide (nylon) with polypropylene, elastane and carbon in there. That doesn't tell the whole story, though, because Storck use several different types of fabric here.
