Wondering if anyone here has attended, or plans to attend, the Tour of Flanders sportive and can provide some inputs on that.
I've got a small window for a cycling holiday any time in March and this seems to fit the timing. My fitness may not be up to mark after a winter away from cycling, but that I can work on.
What I need to know is:
a) how hard is it? (so I can prepare accordingly)
b) how are logistics for getting from end to anywhere? (I plan to stay in Brugge so would need to get there end of day)
JODRELL BANK CLASSIC CYCLOSPORTIVE
SUNDAY 11th March 2012
Early Season Cyclosportive around the Cheshire lanes. This is the third edition of the event which goes from strength to strength. Handily placed just two weeks before the Cheshire Cat makes this a great warm up event. We have tweeked the routes from last year to make them even better.
The White Rose Classic, one of Yorkshire's premier cycle sportives is almost full with only just over 100 places left at the last count!
So if you are thinking of entering this fabulous event get your entries in quick.
Firmly established as one of cyclo-sportives 'must-do' events, and a true classic in every sense of the word, the event is planned to take place on the 17 June 2012.
I am looking for a challenge that will announce my arrival at the ripe old age of 40 and was originally thinking of doing the Etape. I have just had a squint at some alternative Eurpoean sportives and noticed one called the Viking Tour in Oslo and wondered if anyone on Road.cc had attempted it?
