Specialized tricross brake lever removal
A question: Is it an easy job removing the additional upright brakes from a specialized tricross.
I find them annoying and simply dont use them on any terrain.
Any hints and tips greatly appreciated
Modified Specialized Roubaix
The Specialized Roubaix was developed to be a comfortable but fast long distance road bike. It is intended for going a hundred miles or more at a brisk pace, it isn't a tourer for dawdling on. It's named after a race.
However, I obtained it for riding the Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP). Despite this event from it's origins in 1893 being a race, it isn't now but a kind of endurance test. It runs every four years and five thousand riders from all over the world start the event.

Verenti Kilmeston or Specialized Secteur Elite? Opinions please!
Righty then, you probably get a lot of first posts like this but I am in need of some advice, or at least some wild opinions partially based on fact.
I've had a slightly knackered Specialized hybrid for the last 2 years, it's been absolutely fine, gets me to and from work every day and I've done a couple of longer (200-ish miles) trips on it. But I think the time has finally come to invest a little more (£800-£1000) on a 'nicer' bike.
After a lot of research and a few test rides I've narrowed things down to a choice between the Specialized Secteur Elite or the Verenti Kilmeston.
