Singlespeed
FS: Genesis day one drop NOW ON eBay
Evening all
Here we have for sale a Genesis day one dropbar singlespeed. It's the most fun bike I have unfortunately due to a reshuffle in the stable it's got to go as I don't get out on it enough.
It's as standard spec apart from charge spoon saddle and vittoria randoneur tyres in white. Is the Vee brake version and was only bought in September last year.
I'm looking for somewhere around the £400 mark, it's a 56 & I'm in Abergavenny, S Wales collection only but can meet locally.
Cheers

Folding bikes are always a compromise between the folded package and the ride characteristics. It's not a straight line correlation but the basic rule is that the bigger-wheeled bikes are easier to get on with on the road, but not as easy to hoik onto a train. They don't get bigger wheeled than the Montague: this is a full sized 700c bike, so don't expect it to fit in your glove box.
Wilier Triestina Ponte Vecchio
If you're an urban rider in the market to make a serious style statement of the Italian variety and you likes your bikes in steel, the Wilier Ponte Vecchio could be for you. That said, this is Italian style of the full bore, unrestrained variety, Versace rather than Armani so it won't appeal to everybody. Unusually for a piece of Italian style it's very competitively priced too.
Single sped chain life
I have a Charge Mixer 8, it has an eccentric bottom bracket which is now at the extreme front of it's adjustment and the chain is limp. If I turn the eccentric all the way to the back and remove a link the chain is too short to be joined back together.
Am I just being tight and should just get a new chain or am I missing something about the available adjustment?
I have done about 3800 miles on this chain.
Any thoughts appreciated.

10 Mile Club TT
Ok, I am out of my depth. I have signed up for my cycling clubs ten mile Time Trial, having never done any trialling against time. I have no idea what training to do, bike to use, time to aim for, bike set up to deploy, what to wear... AGHHHH
