Shimano 105

Hi, I have a braking issue on a bike, bought new in Jan/Feb this year. Since very shortly after acquiring it the rear brake of the Shimano 105 is quite 'sticky'. What I mean is that rather than a nice smooth pull on the lever to gradually apply and increase braking power it takes a good firm squeeze to apply this initial force which results in the initial force being too great. It's not a case of having to pull the lever a certain distance until the brake engages but of having to move the lever a certain distance until any effect occurs.

Hi I have upgraded the groupset on my summer bike. So have a 105 groupset for sale. It has only had light use and probably only covered about 1200 km. some slight marks and scuffs but nothing serious and no heel rub on the cranks. I have added pictures but if you require anymore i will gladly email or post them up on here. Would make an excellent upgrade. Looking for £200ono posted. Or I will do a deal if collected from south Lancashire area.

Hello,
I'm thinking about gradually upgrading my current transmission..
Currently on a Giant SCR 3 (2007) with Tiagra Rear Mec, Sora triple front and a generic crankset...
I'd like to upgrade to 105, probably starting with the chainset and front mech. Are there any compatability issues I should be aware of? And will I need to change the bottom bracket too?
Grateful for any advice....

shimano 105 hubs, silver-grey in colour, 32h. good condition. been sitting unused in loft for some time.

had an 8 speed cassette on when i last used them, but just fitted a 10 speed on out of curiosity and it fitted, so there you go.
