Pictures of your Bike sticky icon

So, I figured that no bicycle forum would be complete without pictures of bikes! Post your photos here, no bike will be refused: Road TT Triathlon Cyclocross MTB BMX Shixie Fixie And anything else! Lovely bikes lovely, but everyday bikes interesting too. I won't post first, but I'm taking pictures right now. Smile I wanna see what bikes you're all riding!

Mont Ventoux next weekend

Hi there,

I'm going to be in Bedoin next weekend and early next week on a business trip and as luck would have it I've got a conveniently placed hotel bang on le route de mont ventoux, approx 22km from the summit!

Seems rude not to take my bike and I have a few days free, so I'm going to do a bit of riding and obviously attempting Ventoux.

Firstly, anyone else around there fancing joining me? I'm a track sprinter so by nature I'm not going to be setting any endurance records - I'll be going up there at a super slow pace.

Recovering from injury...(aka rollers, road shoes and turbos!)

So I have just returned from around a year off the bike due to serious injury and I find myself with a reasonable level of fitness, I want to get good again.
1) I need new cleats, shoes, the works, what would make a good pair for around £100? Best shoes? Best pedals?
2) Any advice on buying rollers? Do people prefer turbos? Are there good makes to look out for?
Thanks!

Ironman to Bike Only

Hello all, I've been into triathlon for the last few years and have completed up to and including a 70.3. I'm entered in IM Wales this year but, like so many people, am seriously losing my motivation and the thought of stealing every weekend for the next 4.5 months from my wife just isn't doing it for me just now. I am fully aware that no one gives a monkey's whether I complete an IM other than me - but what I really enjoy is riding my bike. To that end I'm really curious to know what my best path into (very!!) low end racing is likely to be, in terms of events etc. Should I look at a crit?

FS: Cervelo S3 frameset, 54cm

Cervelo S3 frameset, 54cm

It is in almost new condition mainly as I purchased it last year with the intention of swapping over the gear from my (54cm) R3. I've always been on the edge with regards to sizing and have felt a better size for me would be a 51cm. Anyway I decided to keep riding the R3 to make sure of the sizing before I swapped the gear over; I've decided 54cm is too large and as a result this is on the market.
Whilst I've done no miles on it, I bought it from someone who had done very few miles on it.

New road bike advice

Hi guys

I currently ride a Charge Filter Mid 2011, which is effectively a cross bike. I have come to realise that the groupset is pretty poor (Shimano 2300) and also fancy another bike for "nice weather" so that I can keep the Charge as my winter/training bike.

What do you think of these? It’d be used for club runs/sportives.

Black Socks

Black socks seem to be all the rage with pro's these days. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a couple of pairs of plain black ones? I like the look of Rapha's but not at £15 a go!!
