Altenburger centre-pull brakes

I just wanted to report a very positive experience with the Altenburger alloy centre pull dual pivot brakes that were commonly fitted to Raleigh and other 10 speeds made in the 1970s.

I've recently restored my old 1976 Raleigh Record (14kg of steel..) and as part of that replaced the rusty steel rims with new alloy rims. I decided to keep the old Altenburger alloy brakes for authenticity and because they still worked, but swapped out the pads and blocks with Ultegra cartridge pads and standard pads.

FS: Cannondale CAAD7 road frame (56) + Easton EC90 SLX + Record headset + bits

Road frame, fork, headset, stem and seatpost package for sale. All nice kit and in excellent condition. I started a project to build a lightweight road bike using an existing frame that I had. During the course of building the bike up I became ill, and had to take some time away from cycling. When I came back I only really had the desire to ride offroad so this lot has sat untouched for a while now. The individual bits that complete the package are described below, a lot of which were fitted but never actually ridden:

FS: 2001-era Campy bits and Selle saddle

Here are the bits that I've got to flog off after finishing my fixie conversion:

Chorus 9-speed rear mech. Couple of very small scrapes but otherwise great condition and perfect working order. £40

Racing T triple front mech (braze on). Good condition, some blue paint on the attachment bolt and washer (see bottom of picture) which would come off easily with some thinner. £20

FS Campy Record rear hub / WTD flip-flop rear hub / SWAP

hello all,

got a rather nice Campagnolo record rear hub (silver, 32h, 130, 9-spd, ca. 2000) on my new bike and i'm in the midst of going fixed. hence i have one more geared hub than I need and one less track hub than I need (preferably flip/flop, 32h).

anyone have a flip/flop hub they'd like to swap? anyone want to buy my campy?
