At the risk of appearing pathetically susceptible, I've just succumbed to the fatal charms of Rapha's marketing devils and have bought a cream Rain Jacket in the sale. I mention this here because obviously I won't be talking about it at home (the first time I put it on I am planning to say "What? This old thing? No! I've had it for ages!") but also because I thought I'd alert the road.cc massive to the fact that it cost me under a hundred quid with their end-of-sale discount code X15LWOS - £94.42 to be precise. The usual asking price is £190.

First things first: this jacket works. The first time we used it was on a 200-mile super-mountainous ride in the Pyrenees when it rained for hours on end, and it kept the water out without any trouble. A couple of months, several wet rides and a few spins through the washing machine later and it’s still doing the business.
