From its second outing onwards the Stevens Izoard was casually referred to as 'Fast Eddy'. Eddy Izzard, right? Okay, I know, the Col D'Izoard is a famous alpine climb, and I'm happy to acknowledge my vintage by saying I was lucky enough to be spectating at the roadside when Lucien Van Impe crested it first in the 1976 Tour de France, but the double entendre is appropriate for a bike that conspired to temporarily switch my ride settings from vague meanderer to marathon man and depilate my legs for the first time in a decade.

I'm looking at Vivelo ARC RS as a possible new race bike, just wondering if anyone has any experience on it? I've read the review on here about it not being as light as described and that's putting me off slightly. However, I love the look of it and that it's different from the standard field of Trek, Giants, and Specialized.

All right road.cc, let's do this, need recommendations for my 2nd road bike, to be mainly used for youth and and later on for junior races, mainly circuits such as Hillingdon or hill climbs, occasional 10 mile TT's

The Kinesis Racelite TK3 is a bike that's truly greater than the sum of its parts, a proper race bike for all conditions that's just as at home on the commute, the chaingang or trundling round the lanes.

Phrases like 'power bulged top tube' and 'tapered carbon monocoque fork' are normally seen in the marketing blurb of the latest handbuilt carbon superbike - not aluminium steeds designed for mudguards and 28mm tyre clearance. The Kinesis is a little different though.

FS - great quality racing bike for sale! Built around a BMC Racemaster SLX frame (RRP £1800) which was BMC's top of the range model. Price i am asking (£950) only really reflects the value of the frame, even though it comes with greta condition Shimano Tiagra groupset and Fulcrum 5 racing wheels, great for training and racing.

It has full dura ace 7800 group set on it ITM bars and stem and mavic r sys wheel set which is a stiff and very light climbing wheel set. This bike does everything sprints descends and climbs like a rocket. Reason for sale I'm pulling the trigger on a s3 and need the money. I'm looking for £2500 but sensible offers considered.
