I'm a big fan of Keen shoes, and I love stuff made from Merino. I was expecting quite a lot from these Keen Springwater socks. They don't disappoint.

They are made from a clever mix of 50% merino wool and 50% synthetic stuff. In my experience, it's pretty important to get this mix right. Too much synthetic stuff and the smell-stopping merino can't work its magic. Too much wool and holes start appearing too quickly. So far, the evidence suggests Keen have got it right.

Essentially the result of a steamy threesome involving a skate shoe, street pump and an SPD trainer; Keen's Coradoro shoes are remarkably comfortable for prolonged walking, loafing and short haul commutes/urban riding. Common to the type, compromised rigidity and arch support precludes more spirited/extended pedalling but the outer sole works remarkably well with dual sided commuter pedals, rattraps and beefy nylon toe clips.

Keen's Austin Pedal shoe might have a look best described as geography teacheresque, but that estimable body of men and women have long known a thing or two about the benefits of practical footwear for both the classroom and the great outdoors so if you are after a pair of really well thought out and comfortable all day wear urban cycling shoes look no further because these are the kitties.

I’m really … err… keen on Keen shoes, so was particularly looking forward to trying the Keen commuter cycling sandals. Unfortunately they didn’t live up to my high hopes.

Keen have a proven track record in designing really comfy and sturdy footwear, I know from experience, my 3 pairs are going as strong as ever. It appears as though they’ve tried their hand at cycling sandals and applied some fresh thinking. They got some things right, but unfortunately they also got some things wrong.
