Rumour mill: Contador to Garmin?

There's plenty of unsubstantiated rumours doing the rounds in the cycling world regarding the possibility of Alberto Contador signing a long term deal with the American Garmin-Slipstream team. After having dispatched some of the best riders in the world almost single-handedly this July in France, Contador is sure to leave Astana. Indeed, it's far from clear if there even will be an Astana team next season.

Problem with Garmin Edge 705

Has anyone had problems with their Garmin edge brackets? I have had 3 brackets so far as they seem to loosen up and rattle after a couple of months. Then on Friday when travelling at speed the bracket snapped off sending my Garmin flying down the road and under a car wheel. I phoned Garmin and they don't want to know even though it's still in warranty and they are adamant the bracket is sufficent. So 325 quid down the drain!

Highclere: weighed on the scales

Well my legs feel like they've been through the grinder this morning, yesterday was a fantastic ride but it's always a reality check to ride with people who are much, much fitter than you. I've been feeling pretty good about myself of late, dropped a stone in weight and been getting some more miles in, but yesterday I was weighed on the scales and found wanting... so, what did we learn from the day at Highclere?

What a muppet...!!

I dropped my Garmin Edge 705 yesterday evening just as I was putting it back on the bike, it only fell about 2 feet, but managed to hit the leg of my turbo trainer and put a series of cracks through the LCD display!
