*LOST* Garmin Edge 500 on Bristol-Paddington Train

Left my grey/silver and black Garmin Edge 500 on the Sunday 17:00 train from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington (25/03/2012), possibly in the toilets / in the front carriage.

Any information would be so appreciated - it was a special gift.

Garmin Connect / MapMyRide etc. User? Check your privacy settings

If you're a user of a GPS logging site like Garmin Connect, MapMyRide, Endomondo etc. then you may want to check and consider changing your privacy settings.

Garmin for example have default privacy set to 'share' so that means any ride you upload is publicly searchable and visible to anyone. A quick look in my local area searching under 'cycling' and the word 'home' showed up loads of tracks called things like "ride home from work", "training loop from home" which basically amount to a location where a bike is kept.

Garmin Edge 200

Price:
£129.99

If you're the kind of person that likes to log your miles, but you're not the kind of person that analyses their heart rate zones after every ride, then the Garmin Edge 200 is for you. It's a super-simple GPS unit that has a fairly basic data set but makes keeping track of your mileage totals a piece of cake. It's not perfect - the limited display options will put some people off - but the simplicity and swappability between bikes will ensure its popularity.
