Cycling family fun day sept 29th

Hi everyone, were holding a free cycling family fun day next Saturday in Exhibition park in Newcastle upon Tyne. There is a free MTB skills track, cycle smoothie maker local council advice/maps, local bike shops, adult and children's training, free bike draw from Edinburgh bicycle Cooperative, cycle smoothie maker, face painting, bouncy castle and a load of other cool stuff that is free to try and see. Nightrider is an exciting 100km moonlit cycle ride past London’s iconic landmarks. This is a fantastic event where you’ll join over 3000 riders taking to the streets of London as the capital sleeps.

eVent - where are all the jackets??

After losing 3 stone, I'm on the market for a new jacket to replace my Gill Speed Pro, which has been the best cycling jacket I've ever owned.

I sweat buckets and eVent is the most breathable waterproof material I've ever used. It's perfect for cycling - so where the hell are all the jackets?? I can only find reference to the dhb Wickham jacket, which looks identical to the Speed Pro, but it's been discontinued!

Anyone got any leads? I'm staggered that ALL cycling jackets aren't made out of this wonder material!

Hi All

Hackney City Farm Bike Day

If you live in the London area, this looks like it should be quite a laugh. The lovely people who run Bike Yard East, a community project repairing bicycles, are putting on an event with grass track racing, a cycle jumble which anyone can sell at, a poi show, Dr. Bike, a pageant and music - all cycle powered! Things start at 12pm and the farm closes at 4pm although the party will go on in the barn!
