Dromarti
Dromarti Corio glove
Dromarti produce a rather exclusive and individual range of mitts, shoes and bicycle frames that appeal to a certain type of stylish rider, and to keep a dappers hands warm in the nippier months are these Corio long-finger gloves. Hand made right here in the UK from a soft and supple Nappa leather they have a thin cotton fleece lining to keep them cosy.
Dromarti La Grande mitt
Dromarti has carved itself a niche making traditionally inspired bike stuff like the La Grande mitt. It started with traditional leather cycling shoes; then mitts and gloves, and frames... soon they'll be making jerseys too. Although the name sounds Italian, the company is actually British, and these mitts are 100% handmade in England.
Dromarti Race shoe
When I saw the Dromarti Race Shoes in a photograph I thought they were the answer to my prayers, a shoe made of real leather looking identical to those worn by my heroes of yesteryear, Merckx, Coppi et al, but updated to suit modern pedals.
Suffice to say that, when I got my hands on these hand-made Italian leather cycling shoes, my prayers were more than answered.
So on to the shoes.
Opening the shoebox for the first time I dicovered the contents were wrapped in a protective fabric drawstring bag, I knew they were going to be special.
