CRANK Brothers

Crank Brothers Power Pump Alloy

Price:
£34.99

If you don't want to fit a big, efficient pump like the Topeak Road Morph or Zefal HPX to your bike frame, you'll at least need a mini pump in your pocket – something like the Crank Brothers Power Pump Alloy.

Crank Brothers Cobalt 3: Seat post

Price:
£79.99

Crank Brothers Cobalt 3 Seatpost is an elegant, lightweight alternative to common as muck carbon for powerful riders of semi/compact road/TT bikes. However, the sample's clamp was poorly conceived and exceeding fiddly to adjust-not what I'd expect on an £80 seat post.

Crank Brothers M10 - multi-ten

Price:
£17.99

Crank Brothers M10 is equipped to address most roadside fettling without the weight or encumbrance of chain-tool, spoke keys or wrenches. It's a delight to use and offers plenty of torque for those more awkward fixings. Complete with the same CNC machined, gold anodised aluminium sidebars and lifetime warranty, on many levels there's little to dislike, although a longer 8mm Allen key would've been more appropriate rather than simply scaling down the one on the M17.

Crank Brothers Power Pump Ultra

Price:
£24.99

With its CNC-machined aluminium body and subtle gold detailing, the Crank Brothers Power Pump Ultra is a sturdy and good looking mini pump. Despite the lack of a bottle cage bracket, it's very portable: at 175mm it's small enough for a jersey pocket. As with many tiny pumps, inflating a road tyre to a usable pressure requires the patience of a saint. It best suits cyclists who travel lightly, puncture rarely, and perhaps have a CO2 cartridge in reserve.

Crank Brothers Alloy Power Pump

Price:
£34.99

The Crankbrothers Alloy Power Pump is one worth considering if you want a single pump to take out on all your bikes. While it lacks the outright pushing power of some mini pumps the switchable stroke volume, useful pressure gauge and easy-to use twin head make it a good choice if your stable spans road and dirt.

Crank Brothers Cobalt Foam Grips

Price:
£19.99

Crank Brothers Cobalt are a thin density lock-on design grips making the transition perfectly from XC trail blazer to road whippet, tourer to tagalong thanks to high quality materials uniting shock absorption and tenacious all weather grip without the chunky profiles. Death gripping the bars when screaming into winding descents wouldn't budge them but some smoother anodised/plated finishes proved trickier and the clamp bolts seemed unduly fragile

Crank Brothers M17 multi tool

Price:
£23.99

Crank Brothers M17 multi-tool manages to do exactly what is says on the tin while looking decidedly chic into the bargain. Sure, some of you will bemoan the lack of tyre levers and a neoprene pouch would've been a damn sight more useful than the rubber strap that vanished annoyingly within the first week. However, a lifetime warrantee inspires confidence, pricing is very competitive and best of all, it's a delight to use.

Spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar

48 minutes, three Dremel multi cutting discs, one Dremel grinding bit, one singed finger and several choice swear words later I have finally removed my brand new Crank Brothers cleat and moved it to the correct position.

And all because they specced bolts made out of cheese, rather than the more usual steel. Probably saving themselves 0.7p in the process. So thanks, Crank Brothers.
