CO2 inflator
SKS Airchamp Pro CO2 inflator
SKS Airchamp Pro refreshes the parts other CO2 inflators cannot reach - or at least mine did when a cartridge accidentally engaged in the pocket of my shorts! That aside, it wins over similar inflators thanks to an ergonomic body and a clever thumb switch that allows controlled pressure release without jettisoning all the compressed gas in one hit. At £2.50 a cartridge, it best suits competitive riders who puncture infrequently.
Lezyne Speed Drive CO2
The Lezyne speed drive CO2 looks like a very nice package for the minimally minded. CO2 pumps don't get much smaller or much lighter. It accepts all threaded cartridges, but only works on Presta valves.
Lezyne Alloy Drive CO2
The Lezyne alloy drive looks very smart indeed. It's CNC machined from 7075 aluminium which makes for a high quality feel, and has some really nice design touches; it works on both Schrader and Presta valves, you can keep your cartridge in the body without risk of accidental puncturing and airflow can be controlled. At 100grams is not as light as some but certainly no heavyweight either. It takes any 16g threaded cartridge.
Genuine Innovations Proflate 16 CO2 inflator
The Genuine Innovations Proflate 16 may not look the smartest, but it's a very cleverly designed CO2 pump that instills trust and makes you feel in control. It uses 16g non threaded cartridges (which are slightly cheaper than their threaded equivalents) and works on both Schrader and Presta valves.
