Chrome

Chrome make some cycling-specific shoes, including an SPD version of the Kursk which we've tested on road.cc. The Riverton is more of a general purpose knocking about kind of a shoe, and it's nicely made and pretty comfy.

The Riverton is a mid-top pump with a full-grain leather upper and baseball-shoe-style rubber sole. You get a discreet(ish) Kursk logo on the side of the heel and two-hole lacing. The sole is red, with white trim. That's pretty much your lot.

Do you like to carry your life on your back? If so, the Chrome Metropolis might be for you. But small people beware...

Chrome have a reputation for making good-quality, spartan messenger-style bags, so I was looking forward to trying their Yalta rucksack. There's a lot to like about the Yalta but sadly it didn't suit me at all.

Don't want to turn up down the pub sounding like you've come from a tap-dancing lesson but don't have the time to swap your pedals over? You need casual cleats, and Chrome's Kursk Pro is more casual than most. They're pretty good on the bike too, but watch out for the sizing.
