Centaur

FS: Condor Baracchi 58cm carbon bike

Hi all,

So, this is what I designated this summer as the winter hack, having bought myself a summer bike of ultimate joy.
But it's a carbon Condor for gods sake, this isn't a winter hack. This is a bike to be enjoyed, a bike for someone to ride all the time and derive wonderful pleasure from.
So, I must sell her and spend the proceeds on something I don't care about getting all scuzzed up over the winter.

Full specs then...
58 cm Condor Baracchi full carbon frame. Think it's the 2009 model, bought in Feb 2010.
Campagnolo Centaur 2010 groupset, compact 50/34, 172.5mm cranks.

Centaur vs Chorus brakes

The thread in the adjuster barrel of my front brake caliper is shot so I'm looking to replace the whole thing - and probably the back one too as I don't think you can buy single calipers (can you?). My usual practice when replacing bits is to get slightly better quality gear than whatever it is I'm replacing - which in this case is Campag Centaur. So I'd be looking at Athena or Chorus if I followed this rule. I'm curiously drawn to Chorus but it would mean spending more than twice as much (£100+ instead of £40-50).
