Bell’s bargain priced city isn’t simply a Cinderella version of the Metropolis, rather it enjoys some unique detailing such as an integrated insect net, washable pads, Scotchlite detailing while taking advantage of the Metropolis accessory kit. Those looking for an inexpensive, second lid for winter and general hacking about town won’t be disappointed.

Bell’s Metropolis is a smartly designed, commuter lid with some nice detailing made better still by a comprehensive accessory kit adding £20 to the basic asking price.

Weighing a very reasonable 320g, the dove grey livery of the outer shell comes complete with an integral peak to shield the eyes from sun; rain and sleet while offering some defence from aggressive foliage should you take in some forest or towpath on your commute.

What a lot, of features the Bell Array has (you meet even say an array… if you liked lame puns) but possibly the best of them is its adjustability – I could even get it to fit my weirdly shaped cranium, a challenge not all helmets are up to.
