Video: Reality only sucks for cycling students that don't know how to mend a puncture

Why guzzle gas when you could be guzzling energy bars and inner tubes?

Dave and Tony took on the students; no prizes for guessing who won...

Wake and Bake - the smart way to save a few pounds

The credit crunch has forced everyone to cut back on their expenditures, something that doesn't tally too well with being a cyclist. As a student, I am in this position full time, economic depression or not, and so I feel quite well qualified to show you how a little home baking can both improve your bank balance and your time on the bike.

Royal Victoria, Queen of promotion

Every so often I find myself involved in an event, a series or a something where I get a sense of something important "happening", something which will go down in local cycling folklore should it not happen again. I think the last time I can say this of a race was at the innaugral Brighton Big Dog race in 2009. The May crits in Bath have that feel too. What a bloody fantastic idea, whoever concieved this love child well deserves at least a Blue Peter badge in my eyes.

Carnage Corner - reminisce your student daze

There is plenty of our blue and yellow kit bouncing around in that vid but if you fancy a bit more of a read about the Bath Univeristy/road.cc teams weekend then here you go:

Cwmcarn(age)

There are not many cycling clubs which can claim to be truly multi-disciplinary. A university cycling club can however, which is just one of the many reasons which make them so good. With 50 or so members each year Bath University - Road.cc has in its ranks: roadie tarts, XC whippets and not so whippets, DH fashion victims and fast ones too, fix gear/retro trendies, BMX bandits, plus a handful of elite athletes, two World Cup regulars and even some girls. Not bad for cycling club then. So here’s a post about some of our more muddy exploits.

Team Bath University-road.cc: Starting with a win in the 4th cats +video

With the Tour Down Under kicking off the pro road scene, University of Bath team mates Liam Glen and our contributor Trev Allen thought it was about time to kick off their own roadie careers. Both being pretty proficient MTB racers, Expert and Elite respectively, but with no points on the road board things had to start from the bottom…

Off they went to the Upavon Winter Series, one of the most established winter series in the South for some 4th cat. action plus a bit of NeilPryde Diablo testing along the way.
