Baggy shorts
Odlo Loop Bermudas
As with the Body suit, these bermuda shorts from Odlo are probably going to provoke a Marmite-esque love or hate reaction in people. Personally, I love them, but I've already been accused of dubious taste, so decide for yourself!
They are a baggy style short, primarily aimed at the mountain biking sorority, but as with most baggies, suitable to more relaxed casual style street riding as well.
Rohan Outrider Shorts
They're good all-purpose shorts, these Outriders from Rohan. They're bike-specific in a very understated way, well constructed and comfy; just the thing for short rides and any destination where showing up in lycra might be frowned upon.
Altura Summit 3/4 baggy shorts
Altura's Summit 3/4s are designed as trail shorts but they’re equally suitable for other kinds of riding if you don’t want the Lycra look – for heading down the towpath with the family, for example, or nipping around town, touring or commuting.
Outeredge Baggy MTB shorts
Not everyone wants to wear lycra, and these baggies from Outeredge have a neutral style that's fine for the commute, the towpath or the MTB trails, The captive liner limits their appeal a bit but they're surprisingly comfy on the bike and nice and light for Summer riding.
Endura Humvee 3/4 baggy short with liner
Endura's Hummvees have been around for ages and the latest incarnation is every bit as good as its predecessors. They're not perfect, but for a general purpose commuting/leisure/MTB short they're pretty hard to beat.
