aluminium
Any good Aluminium TT bikes?
Does anyone know of any good ALU TT bikes?
I like Aluminium because its what hardmen ride.
And I am a hardman.
So far its a Ribble.
Giant TCR SL 2 (2013)
Giant's new TCR SL 2 is £1,250 of well specced aluminium loveliness, with a delightful ride character and all the potential to stand a few upgrades over the years. Yes, it's not carbon, but at this price I think you're better off with aluminium. And this isn't any ordinary aluminium frame: Giant have poured all their knowhow into producing a feathery light 1,050g frame. That's light enough to give many carbon frames a bloody nose.
Vitus 56cm Frame, Fork and Seat post.
I'm Selling off my old winter bike because I finally have to accept that at 6ft2 and 56cm frame is too small for me.
Its a 1980's Vitus 979 Dural in deep blue with chrome lug work. Unfortuately the stickers have all had to be removed. The headset (Campag Chorus) needs a bit of attention and possibly replacing but otherwise its a great light bike.
I was considering converting it to a single speed but I already have a fixie so it seem surplus to requirement.

De Rosa Milanino
The Milanino is De Rosa's cheapest road bike but with its 'handmade in Italy' frame there is very little 'entry level' about it. It has a snappy ride, great handling and decent equipment. The only downside is a slightly basic pair of wheels.
