Fitting 700c-only SKS Raceblade Longs to a 650c bike

For anyone else despairing the lack of decent 650c mudguards - particularly removable ones - here's how to mod SKS Raceblade Longs to fit. Yorkshire Tea not included.

WTD - Pair of 700c wheels - 5 speed - cheap

I'm looking for a pair 700c wheels, with or without tyres/tubes. I'm doing Nightrider in June and my current wheels are tubulars and not suitable.
Also, current rear hub is only 5 speed so rear hub needs to be 5 or 6 speed at max, yeah I know, picky.
So, if you've got anything lurking in the back of your shed in fair, true, condition please let me know. I'm in Guildford and could collect if local.
Thanks
John

Wheel size confusion.

Thinking my 1980 peugeot has original rigida rims, rigida chromage superchromix,(28x1.5/8x1.1/8 700c 1982. stamped on). The tyres are 700/23, does anyone know would I be able to use 27 inch wheels, what's the difference of 700c and 27 inch?.. are my wheels 27, though they are stamped 28? Confused
