wheels- advice please

So, buying a Kinesis Decade Tripster ATR for mainly on-road riding (but including very bumpy tarmac on single track lanes) and some towpath/ cinder track style riding.

Had anticipated getting the Kinesis Crosslight CSDisc wheels to go with the frame, but the shop I am buying through is pushing for American Classic Hurricane wheels. Couple of hundred quid more.

Seen good reviews on both.

Any thoughts, or alternative suggestions?

I too would go hand built, they compare well on price with factory jobs and usually have a lifetime of free aftercare.

Why not price up some handbuilts? A nice frame like that deserves a decent set of wheels. I can recommend Just Riding Along as a builder but there's a lot to choose from if your shop doesn't build wheels.

As a suggestion: hope evo hubs, velocity aileron rims, sapim d-light spokes - £462.00
Swap the rims for HPlus Son Archetype and take off £50
