Mountain Mayhem Sportive 2011

A great sportive at the UK's best bike festival!

Come and join us for a great day out in the Herefordshire countryside. The Sunday Munch Sportive at Mountain Mayhem is now in its second year, and promises to be bigger and better: more riders, more climbs, more fun!

This year the Original Source Mountain Mayhem festival will be on the weekend of 18-19 June, and the Sunday Munch Sportive will roll out from the event village from 8am on the Sunday morning. There will be a choice of 65km and 110km routes – both new for this year – and both offer a chance to sample the fantastic Herefordshire countryside before heading back to base to see what's going on at the Festival, or to catch the end of the MTB racing.

We're not accepting any more online entries, but there will be entries available on the day, cash only mind. Registration is open on Saturday afternoon (2-6pm) and Sunday morning (7-8am)

Make a weekend of it

riding 1 Road riders doing the sportive will be able to sample all of the festival's attractions and the atmosphere in the main arena, where manufacturers display their latest bikes. There's lots of food and refreshment stalls plus opportunities for a quick massage, to buy yourself some bike bits, or enjoy the entertainment on offer.

Bring the family too – that's what many mountain bikers do – it's a great opportunity for a weekend away in a great location with excellent camping facilities there's plenty to do for everyone including the kids and all the activities are free too. There's a quiet camping area available if you're coming as a family or you want to make sure of a good night's sleep before the big day. Camping is free for the whole weekend for anyone participating in the sportive, and their families.
