Garmin expands Connect service with Insights to help you achieve your fitness goals

Expanded functionality adds personalised coaching and motivational feedback

Staying fit and healthy, and maintaining motivation, can be challenging at this time of year. Garmin’s newly launched Connect Insights, a new feature for its Android and iOS apps, will display personalised coaching feedback and insights based on the data you upload. It reckons this will help you achieve your fitness goals.

“We’re excited to introduce Garmin Connect Insights to support, motivate, and connect with our users more than ever,” says Andrew Silver, EMEA Product Manager Fitness. “Insights enhances users’ experience tracking and analysing data with personalised recommendations and motivation specifically for them.”

The Insights are personalised recommendations based on data from activities uploaded to Garmin Connect. At launch the new functionality will include sleep analysis and goal prediction, predicted step total (aimed at people using its fitness trackers) and daily goals.

There will also be smart coaching and videos to offer encouragement, and to boost flagging motivation levels, milestones and even “virtual high-fives”.

Insights will be available on the Connect app, free of charge, this month. There will be more features throughout the year. www.garmin.com

“virtual high-fives”

That's enough for me, I already hate it.
