The PW Revo Jerzey FZ is an excellent high-end jersey for the hot weather, but the price might cause a sharp intake of breath.

When I say 'hot weather', we're probably talking 20°C+ (of course, it'll vary between individuals) because this jersey is very lightweight with mesh panels underneath the arms and along either side of the spine. Those little white lozenges alongside the front zip are mesh windows too, so there's tons of ventilation here.

The main fabric – which RH+ call Firedry Gold Sensitive – is a light and fast drying Nylon/Lycra mix. It's super-stretchy so the form fit probably won't feel uncomfortable whatever your shape. Most of the mesh areas are bonded in place, so there's no stitching to rub. We'd prefer the other seams to be flat, but they're not especially prominent.

The front zip opens down to your belly button so you can let in plenty of air when you're heading uphill. Chances are that if you've gone for a close fit, the fabric will ping back when you open the zip, providing lots of cooling. I like a full-length front zip on a summer jersey but they can sometimes scuff your shorts and that won't happen here.

Despite the arms being raw edged, there's no danger of fraying there, and I've not found them riding up even though there's no gripper. The waist is raw edged too, with a silicone band inside to help hold it in place.

The three pockets in the lower back have elasticated binding around the top to help keep everything safely inside, and there's a zipped pocket back there too for your phone or keys. Those stripes on the back of the arms are reflective, adding to the visibility.

This is one of the coolest feeling jerseys I've ever used and if that's a big issue for you, this is certainly worth considering. The materials, features and build quality are right up there with any high-end jersey we've ever reviewed. The PowerLogic clothing line is RH+'s cutting edge kit, but we would struggle with paying this much for a jersey, however high the performance.

Verdict

Lightweight jersey with very good ventilation for the hot weather.
