At road.cc every product is thoroughly tested for as long as it takes to get a proper insight into how well it works. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressed are backed up by facts, reviews are by their nature an informed opinion, not a definitive verdict. We don't intentionally try to break anything (except locks) but we do try to look for weak points in any design. The overall score is not just an average of the other scores: it reflects both a product's function and value – with value determined by how a product compares with items of similar spec, quality, and price.

The Storck Pro Full Zip jersey is a well-designed lightweight top for the warm weather - and I guess you'd want it to be at this lofty price.

It's made from a whole bunch of different materials, the main one being Coolmax. Around the back the fabric is full of tiny pores for extra breathability while the panels that extend from the underside of the arms down to the sides are very good at moving sweat away from your body and they're mega-stretchy. In fact, all the panels are stretchy to some extent or other so you can get a close fit that's still very comfortable.

The front zip comes with a large rubber puller that's easy to grab and a little protector at the bottom of the zip stops it snagging your shorts. Why doesn't everyone do that when it's a full-length zip? It should be the law. I've got loads of shorts that have been damaged by zips. There's a chin protector at the top too.

You get your regulation three pockets in the lower back, elasticated at the top to help keep all your stuff inside – you can get a lightweight windproof in easily, and a waterproof if you roll it up tight. An extra zipped pocket back there is ideal for your valuables. It'll take a mobile phone easily enough and there's a reinforced hole in there for running an earphones cable internally, if that's your thing.

Most of the seams are flatlock stitched so they don't get on your nerves and the band around the bottom holds the waist in. It's a similar deal at the ends of the sleeves, although with a narrower band.

I've really not got much negative to say here. This jersey fits well, it's comfortable and it helps you stay cool and dry on hot rides. The only thing you need to decide is whether you're happy with the price.

Verdict

Very comfortable lightweight jersey to keep you cool on warm rides.

It clearly ain't cheap but it is high quality.

Tell us how the product performed overall when used for its designed purpose

It's a great warm weather jersey with a few neat features like the full-length zip, extra zipped security pocket. Of course, you can get that on much cheaper jerseys than this, but the overall quality is certainly high.

Tell us what you particularly liked about the product

The fit and the performance in the heat. I like a full-length zip too, for letting in lots of air and bringing out the inner Medallion Man.

Tell us what you particularly disliked about the product

Just the price. I probably wouldn't spend this much on a jersey because it would hurt too much the first time I caught some Velcro on it or whatever. If I had the cash, that would be less of an issue.

Did you enjoy using the product? Yes, definitely.

Would you consider buying the product? See above.

Would you recommend the product to a friend? Yes, if they had the money.
