Strong, effective, and light carbon cage with pleasing lines but not as light as some and a bit more expensive too

The Cirrus Pro Carbon from Forza is light, strong and looks the part, as well as keeping bottles secure and quiet.

It's a full carbon monocoque build, weighing in at a shade over the 28g quoted (30g on my scales) which makes it a very light bottle cage, if not the absolute lightest available. The pleasingly clean, simple aerodynamic lines and low key silver graphics will quite happily adorn any carbon frame, without detracting from its looks.

In use, it's sturdy and easy to pop a bottle in and out of with minimal fuss, and will accommodate both 500ml and 750ml bottles with equal ease. The curved arms are strong and hold the bottle well, with just the right amount of flex to make sure it's secure throughout the ride, even over bumps and potholes. There was no budge in the position of the bottle at all.

The cage did wear quite quickly, with surface abrasion on the interior happening on just the first ride and there are other similarly light (if not lighter) carbon cages available for less money, so it might not be the biggest bargain out. That said, it's sleek and visually appealing, and does what it's designed to do admirably, so if the looks complement your particular bike, you'd be safe considering this.

Verdict

Strong, effective, and light carbon cage with pleasing lines but not as light as some and a bit more expensive too
