Good roubaix warmers with long zips that make getting them over your shoes trouble-free; very low priced
Galibier ErgoPro Leg Warmer
7 10

These ErgoPro roubaix leg warmers from Galibier provide a good level of insulation and ankle zips make them easy to get on and off over shoes.

They're made from a polyamide, polyester, and elastane mix and the fleecy-backing offers plenty of warmth on cold rides. Galibier call them 'anatomically cut' although the shaping is slight; it's certainly not as pronounced as you find on some multi-panel warmers. The upside is that only one seam runs lengthwise and that's flat-stitched, so you won't have trouble with stitching rubbing you as you get the long off-season miles in.

A silicone thigh gripper top keeps them comfortably in place while the YKK zip is really long at 22cm. That means it's easy to get these off if the sun comes out on your morning ride, or to put them on if a warmer ride turns chilly. The zip-pull doesn't rattle, work its way up or anything annoying like that.

The logo is reflective, adding to your nighttime visibility, and that's about all there is to tell. You'll do well to find zipped Roubaix leg warmers any cheaper than this.

Tell us what the product is for, and who it's aimed at. What do the manufacturers say about it? How does that compare to your own feelings about it?

They're for pretty much anyone who rides in the winter.

Galibier say, "The effort we put into our 2012 ErgoPro Leg Warmer is very visible before you even put them on. The 4-panel construction is designed to permit full pedalling motion. Anatomically cut to avoid bunching of fabric, the silicone Safelock thigh grippers ensure they stay locked in place. We have lengthened the zip this year to 22cm to permit removal over shoes and the Roubaix fabric has a brushed fleece backing for ultimate warmth."

I purchase some of these off the Galibier guys via their Ebay auctions. I managed to win a pair at just £10 .. odd, add a couple of quid P&P and I had a pair of Leg warmers for £12 ... Happy days.

They're my first pair so I have nothing to compare them to but I am more than happy with them and given the pricing am considering some of their other offerings.

Nice guys as well.
