The gloves are tight fitting. The medium size is borderline slightly too small for me, which is surprising as I’m only 5'4" and take an extra small sized frame. If you're in doubt, go a size bigger. In the winter dry my hands felt snug and warm, and I was easily able to keep control of the gears and brakes. Grip was good in the wet too with the rubber pads on the fingers and palms of my hands working well. Ideally I’d have liked a bit more padding on the palm of my hand for comfort.
In average winter temperatures the gloves kept me warm and dry. In extremely cold weather the ends of my fingers gradually got cold during a longer ride, but I’d trade that for the improved handling of these gloves over a much thicker, clumsier glove.
It’s almost a shame that it’s getting warmer now, as I’ll have to pack them away ready for next winter! They’re probably too warm for summer rain, but perhaps April showers will see them get a few extra rides.
Overall, the waterproofing isn’t perhaps quite as good as I had hoped, they need a little extra padding on the palm of the hand, but the fit, comfort and handling is excellent and well worth the price.
Performance was good but I was a bit disappointed they weren't more waterproof.
