At road.cc every product is thoroughly tested for as long as it takes to get a proper insight into how well it works. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressed are backed up by facts, reviews are by their nature an informed opinion, not a definitive verdict. We don't intentionally try to break anything (except locks) but we do try to look for weak points in any design. The overall score is not just an average of the other scores: it reflects both a product's function and value – with value determined by how a product compares with items of similar spec, quality, and price.

Scottish kit wizards Endura are already well known for their well-priced and functional clothing. The Shark glasses live up to that reputation well: they're good quality, versatile eyewear for the money.

They’re a single lens, wraparound design, which means that you get good protection from the wind and the elements. Sizing is generous, ideal if you have a wide face and the (vented) nosepieces are both soft and adjustable. Despite the face hugging shape they don’t get foggy on the climbs, although the weather right now isn’t exactly balmy. Comfort levels are very good, with no nasty pinching anywhere.

They come with a hard case, pouch and three lens (clear, yellow and smoke) so you’ll be covered for all weathers. Having said that, the styling is a bit plain and the one piece lens can be tricky to remove from the frame until you get the knack (pull them from the middle). Happily the pouch doubles as a wipe, which you’ll need to get all the fingerprints off afterwards.
