At road.cc every product is thoroughly tested for as long as it takes to get a proper insight into how well it works. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressed are backed up by facts, reviews are by their nature an informed opinion, not a definitive verdict. We don't intentionally try to break anything (except locks) but we do try to look for weak points in any design. The overall score is not just an average of the other scores: it reflects both a product's function and value – with value determined by how a product compares with items of similar spec, quality, and price.

Whether it bikes or accessories there will always come a time as your collection of cycling gear expands when you ask yourself, 'where do I put it all?' and if you don't say it you can bet someone else will - luckily Cycloc have come up with the Loop.

What is the Loop? Basically it's a small plastic holder that you can fit to the wall. The Loop is capable of holding items within the inside shell or act as a hangar so you can get all your cycling bits and pieces off the ground and out of the way. You can use them individually or as an array to hold larger, heavier items. In essence a simple and practical idea of storing your gear efficiently which works very well.

In keeping with the idea the actual unit is two pieces. The main plastic body and a wall plate which once fitted securely to the wall slots into the back of the main body. All the fixings required to secure it to the wall are supplied. You will need to use a drill to affix the plate to the wall.

The fit between the wall plate and the main unit is tight so there is no chance of them working loose. Gravity will ensure the two don't come apart as any weight inside the body will push down on the wall plate. This keeps things secure.

The main part of the Cycloc Loop is cleverly designed too. It is wider at the bottom and slightly angled to prevent anything from slipping out. It also has a hole in the top to allow you to post a pump through it for a secure placement or as a point to hang a jacket, helmet or lock on. Clever.

If you want you can line two up in close proximity to hold a track pump the options are probably determined by the space and your imagination.

The Cycloc Loop is designed to keep your helmet or accessories off the floor and out of harms way. If you lack storage space then this individually or as part of an array of loops affords you more options.

Tell us some more about the technical aspects of the product?

The concept is simple as is the execution. Two pieces that slot together once you've fixed the plate to the wall, then slot the main body onto it.

Rate the product for quality of construction:

9/10

The plastic is tough and durable, enough to be able to hold the sort of accessories you'll be placing in it.

Rate the product for performance:

8/10

The range of uses for the Loop are fairly limited but what it can do it does very ably.

Rate the product for durability:

8/10

The only aspect likely to cause any issues are the wall fixings. If they are not secured well it will undermine everything else. The Cycloc Loop itself is sound, made from tough plastic there isn't much that will bend this out of shape.

Rate the product for weight, if applicable:

9/10

At 89g there is no weight penalty to the Loop which allows you to hang it safe that it isn't adding anything significant to the load you are putting on the wall or surface with your possessions hanging off it.

Rate the product for value:

9/10

The Cycloc Loop is only £14.99, the options it gives you are plenty so this represents decent value for money.

The simplicity of the Loop, allowing you to securely attach your helmet through the hole at the top so it can't be knocked off. Or using the hole to keep a pump in place, hang a jacket or a lock. I like the idea of using more than one to expand your options.
