Really easy pump to use that quickly inflates tyres and provides very accurate inflation thanks to the digital gauge
Lezyne Sport Digital Floor Drive DV track pump
8 10

Lezyne's new Sport Digital Floor Drive DV pump has the familiar CNC-machined build quality of its existing track pumps, but packs a digital gauge which makes inflating tyres an easier and more accurate task.

The 1.6 inch digital screen provides measurements in pounds per square inch (psi) and bar, and is located in the base of the pump. There's an on/off button to the left of the screen, and the psi/bar button to the right. Standing over the pump, the screen is easy to read with a clearly legible display.

As someone who is regularly inflating tyres on numerous test bikes, testing different tyres and experimenting with tyre pressures, I found the digital gauge hugely useful. It's simply easier to inflate the tyre to the desired pressure. You can be very accurate to the exact pressure you want.

If you only use a track pump to occasionally pump up your tyres, it's probably a bit overkill compared to a regular pump with a traditional analogue dial. If you take your tyre inflation seriously though, the Digital Floor Drive is a good investment. Another way of looking at it is you're getting a digital gauge and track pump integrated into one product.

The battery cover is a bit ugly, especially by the usual high standards set by Lezyne. Couldn't they have placed the battery compartment underneath the base? The battery is easily replaceable, and it'll last one year under constant use.

DV in the product name stands for Dual Valve, a moulded plastic pump nozzle that is compatible with both presta and schrader valves. Push the head onto the valve, pull the lever back, and away you go. It's easy to release with no loss of air.

A minor niggle is the lever is a bit tight to operate, I found it easier to hold the valve head with the other hand to prevent it bending the valve out of the rim. It's not really a one handed task. That said, it's a big improvement on the old screw-on nozzle on the original Lezyne track pump that is still doing service in my garage.

The hose is plenty long enough so you can easily attach it to each wheel in turn. It loops over the handle and the valve head clips into a slot in the base to keep it tidy when it's not in use.

It's a really nice pump to use with a smooth stroke that quickly inflates tyres, and the digital gauge offers very accurate inflation.
