This Saturday, 9 November, sees the second Morvélo CityCross take place at Piece Hall in Halifax, Yorkshire, and it looks to us like being a whole lot of fun.
The organisers say, “With cobbles, corridors, kerbs, grass, concrete, sand, and several manmade obstacles, it's taking CityCross back to its roots.”
As the name suggests, CityCross is like cyclocross but – and you might be ahead of us here – in the city. Hang on, though! Halifax is a town, isn’t it? If not, how do you explain the well known phrase “Halifax Town nil”? It’s still called CityCross, though.
Check out Vecchiojo’s report from the first CityCross event much earlier in the year to get an idea of what it’s all about.
Or have a gander at this video. We have to say, it does look good…
Entry prices start at £5 for under 12s up to £20 for the adult categories. For all the essential info go to www.citycross.co.uk.
