We have a Vulpine Schwag Grab winner!

Someone's walking off with some top Autumn gear - is it you?

by Dave Atkinson   November 1, 2013

My word people like the idea of free Vulpine Schwag, over 1200 of you commented in to tell us your favourite cycling season, all bases were covered but early indications are that summer was the winner. And the winner of the Vulpine Harrington Rain Jacket, Cotton Rain Trousers, Long Sleeve Merino Alpine, and Short Sleeve Polo? Well that's…

Who despite what his name might suggest likes cycling in the early autumn best.

Congrats to the winner, who will be getting his fancy clobber soon (well before Chrimbo) and commiserations to the 1,276 of you who lost out. Fret not though we'll have another chance to win some top quality cycling schwag coming your way… Soon.

In the meantime you can console yourself by popping over to  Vulpine to think about what might have been season?

 schwag grab rules apply.

Got to be late spring early summer as the days get longer and longer and every week you can go just a bit
further before it gets dark.

Spring for me! The joy of getting outside, crisp air, wonderful light, good company; it's why I cycle and makes me forever young Big Grin

The sun is out
Hedgerows bejewelled with frost
A precious winter day
Hardened cyclist on a hardened path
Wouldn't have it any other way

Can't beat a cold, crisp frosty morning in winter with blue skies and frost on the ground.

Winter. Nothing better than filling your lungs with crisp, fresh, morning air.

I love Summer mornings .... early. Cycling round the lanes, sometimes lucky enough to have a Buzzard fly alongside or over me

I'd say spring. Not as hot and sweaty as the height of summer but you're over the worst that winter has thrown at you and its just gonna get better...until you realise you still live in Britain Tongue

I like autumn, but I often find myself thinking "I wish I didn't have to carry back up clothes for when I invariably get rained on".

But then there is winter, but then I also find myself thinking "I wish I didn't have to carry back up clothes for when I invariably get rained on".

I also enjoy riding in spring, seeing things come back to life but then there is always that nagging thought of "I wish I didn't have to carry back up clothes for when I invariably get rained on".

And then there is summer, longer days, shorter nights, yet still that irritating thought of "I wish I didn't have to carry back up clothes for when I invariably get rained on".

Really, in Manchester we don't actually have seasons, just varying temperatures of rain.

Stupid question. Obviously summer. Getting wet on a bike is not fun and having to clean the bike once finished is a chore.

Summer as you dont have to wear as much clothing. Winter as its more interesting with the variable weather.
